SUMMER!!!

REBEKAH

This summer I have been privileged to spend time at different summer camps where God has so evidently been at work. The Edge mission week in Ballynahinch was a highlight as I had the chance to share talks each night and work with an incredible team of young leaders who are so passionate about Jesus. On the final night 7 young people (that we know of for sure, may be more) decided to give their lives to Jesus! We were praising God for how He spoke to them, please continue to pray over them as they continue to grow.

I also spent time at Mullartown house (with some of our volunteer team) serving at Senior Teens camp. Again, it was incredible to see God so intentionally pursue young people, especially through members of our team. Specifically please pray for Ethan as he begins his walk with God.

Summer Madness was a blessing for our team as we had the opportunity to engage with many young people that we see in schools and workshops throughout the year. Please pray for each item of clothing that was sent out, that they would be constant reminders of worth, value and purpose.

As we look ahead to September please pray over our new team, every divinely appointed opportunity with a young person and that each of us would anchor ourselves in our identity as God’s children.

CHRIS

God gave me the privilege of speaking at the BB ‘Step Up’ leaders training camp. The verse from Joshua; “Be strong and courageous”, was the focus of the weekend as I sought to encourage and teach the group to step in to what God has for each of them as leaders. As a lad who came up through the BB, I saw the impact and power that good leaders have on the boys in their care. This made it such an encouragement to speak life and truth over a group of young men and women who are going to be leading in Boys Brigade companies all across Northern Ireland.

Please pray for organisations like the Boys Brigade, who are seeking to advance God’s kingdom among boys throughout the land. Pray for wisdom and guidance as they continue to equip and train leaders of the next generation of boys, and please continue to pray for us as we help facilitate this training, for the glory of God!

ZARA

What a Summer it has been! I have been incredibly blessed to be invited to speak at a number of camps throughout the past few months. Firstly, Newtownbreda Sports camp, this was so much fun as I got to share the Gospel with hundreds of children one of the days a young girl came up to me and said “I have never known who Jesus was until this week, I have never been this happy.” For me this is what it is all about, children hearing about the love of Jesus for the first time and deciding to give their lives to him. WHAT A PRIVILEGE! I also got the chance to speak at Mullartown Senior Teens camp, this was an amazing evening where I got to share some of my story with an incredible bunch of young people. We saw salvation this night too which is just such a blessing to be able to be a part of.

A couple of weeks ago I joined Castlewellen Holiday Week with the Methodist Church as their youth speaker. The theme for the week was “crown laid down” and we took the young people through how Jesus laid his crown down and then the challenge for the rest of the week is how we lay things down in our lives and what we are asked to pick up as followers of Jesus. The week ended with the young people kneeling and crying out to God to see a move of his Spirit in their generation, it was beautiful and I can’t believe God let me be a part of witnessing it.

Please pray for all of the young people we encountered throughout the summer that all the seeds sown would produce fruit and they would grow in intimacy with Jesus.

Beth

Summer at Made for More looked like disbursing around the country sharing the name of Jesus - what an amazing way to spend the summer! Personally, I had the privilege of speaking at Moneyreagh Community Church’s Sports Camp. This church is rich in outreach and cares deeply for their local community, and it was amazing to share the gospel with their young people. There were definitely kids who gave their lives to Jesus - so praise the Lord for that!

Please join me in praying for their church, that those kids would continue being plugged into a place that love them with Christ’s heart. I would also appreciate prayer for our team as we begin this next year with our new interns - Patricia, Evie and Charlie. They are incredible people are we are excited for all they will bring to Made for More!

JOHNNY

The month of June has had many wonderful moments, reminding all of us in Made for More of God’s love, goodness and provision.

Our graduation event celebrating our incredible interns was a beautiful time to reflect on how much God has been working in their lives over this past year with Made for More. With a lot of worship, prayer, laughs, hard work and reliance on God, this event showcased the pattern of development of growth for our interns over this past year. Beth, myself and the wider team are beyond grateful for Lois, Rhys and John and we are also so thankful to all of you for praying for them so diligently over the past year. God is so good!!

Another blessing this month was that our very own Beth got married! What a fun, joy-filled and Jesus-centred day it was! I am so thankful for Beth and the rest of this amazing team God has crafted together. Please pray for Beth and Chris as they start out married life and please continue to pray for strength, unity and joy within our team.

God Bless!
