Into the summer
REBEKAH
As we come to the end of June, there is so much I am thankful to God for. Each June our time at Made for More is bittersweet as our team transitions and our interns and volunteers move on. I am so thankful for all of the work they have put in this year and I am blown away by how they have continually served Jesus. Celebrating our team was really special and taking time to meet as a volunteer team has also been important as we reflect on the past year and all that God has done.
We have also continued to be busy with workshops and there have been so many glimpses of how God is transforming lives through what we share in workshops. I have been reminded personally of the importance of speaking life over young people.
Please pray for our team ahead of summer madness as it is a real team effort and as we share the work of Made for More with youth leaders parents and young people there are so many opportunities to continue what we do.
Please also pray for rest for our team during the summer and that in every camp we speak at the Spirit would lead and God would be glorified.
CHRIS
The month of June has had many wonderful moments, reminding all of us in Made for More of God’s love, goodness and provision.
Our graduation event celebrating our incredible interns was a beautiful time to reflect on how much God has been working in their lives over this past year with Made for More. With a lot of worship, prayer, laughs, hard work and reliance on God, this event showcased the pattern of development of growth for our interns over this past year. Beth, myself and the wider team are beyond grateful for Lois, Rhys and John and we are also so thankful to all of you for praying for them so diligently over the past year. God is so good!!
Another blessing this month was that our very own Beth got married! What a fun, joy-filled and Jesus-centred day it was! I am so thankful for Beth and the rest of this amazing team God has crafted together. Please pray for Beth and Chris as they start out married life and please continue to pray for strength, unity and joy within our team.
God Bless!
ZARA
This month we got to be a part of one of my favourite events we do each year which is a partnership between ourselves and a company called “Catalyst”. We come alongside their work experience programme called “Generation Innovation”. They had around 900 young people that we worked with throughout the month. Through the programme the young people are put into teams and partner with a business coming up with innovative solutions to company problems. Our role was to speak to the young people about their mental health while on the work experience programme. We discussed team building strategies and got to take them through activities that help them understand who they are and what they bring to a team while valuing what those around them have to offer as well.
JAMES
June has been a month where we have seen and felt Gods hand in the blessing of our partnerships once again. As we continue on this mission to reach a generation of young people we have felt the prayers and financial support from Gods people that enable this work to happen. I believe that in the spirit of partnership, we can maximise our impact for the kingdom and the young people we aim to serve.
Over the last few months we have been refreshing our mental health packs, with new packaging, contents and video resources using Zara’s counselling expertise, that we pray will make a profound impact on each young person who receives them. We have seen new doors opening from hospitals and care facilities that will see an initial 250 mental health packs distributed over the coming months. Please pray for this as we believe God will move mightily through this ministry.
We are so grateful for you as you stand alongside us as we look to be Jesus hands and feet to a generation in need.
