Our First run club

JOHNNY

In February, we had our first Made For More Run Club. The aim of the Run Club is to continue building the community aspect of our fundraiser—hoping and praying that, through conversations, people will see the vision of Made For More, understand what we’re about, and recognize what we are trying to achieve.

We hope this will create a ripple effect, helping participants feel more connected to Made For More and more inclined to raise funds for us! Around 25 people attended the first Run Club, and we would love prayer for the next two sessions—that we may have even more conversations with people about our goal for the next two years.

I would also ask for prayer as we continue to manage the teams that have entered the marathon. Please pray that they are able to reach out to others and help their teams hit their fundraising targets!

REBEKAH

God has been speaking to me about being a light in dark places, and this month, I have been in workshops with young people who are walking through really tough circumstances. Our team has had the opportunity to speak life and truth over them, thanks to your ongoing support. I have been so proud of how our team has been growing and developing in their communication and in using the gifts God has given them.

I am also incredibly thankful for our media team, who have served our team in such a Christ-like way.

Please continue to pray for us as we engage with each young person, whether face-to-face or through our media and resources. Also, please pray for God’s provision, enabling our team to continue gaining opportunities to access those dark spaces.

As we look ahead to the coming months, I would love to ask for prayer for vision and unity for our team as a whole—that God would speak clearly to each of us regarding the direction He would like us to take as an organization.

CHRIS

I am so grateful for the different spaces we, as an organization, get to enter.

This past month, one of those spaces for me was with the Lisburn Ladies football squad through our work with Sports Chaplaincy. This workshop focused on mental health and how we can better look after ourselves. A real source of encouragement for me was being able to share how my faith has played a big role in my own journey of healing with mental health. Not only was there really positive feedback from those present, but the club chaplain also had a great conversation about what was shared in the workshop afterward.

Please pray for sports chaplains across the country as they bring the peace and love of God into sports teams across the land!

Beth

Throughout this month, one of my main focuses has been developing more leadership-focused content for our workshops alongside Johnny. During our research, we were both internally challenged to examine our own leadership styles and strive to be the best we can be. Please pray for our team, that we may always be turned toward the Jesus way of leading.

We have been working closely with Methodist College, participating in their Made to Lead Programme, which has given me so much life! I have enjoyed teaching through another lens—speaking directly about what good and healthy leadership looks like—and, in turn, playing our part in shaping upcoming and future leaders.

I am thankful for the different spheres we enter on a daily basis. The Lord opens doors in schools, youth programs, sports, and more, which is such a blessing. Please pray for the rest of our upcoming workshops, as March is very busy! Thank you for your continued support.
