WHO ARE MADE FOR MORE?

Made for More N.I are a local charity, and our mission is to reach a generation of young people, breaking the cycle of mental ill- health across Northern Ireland.

Our message to this generation is that

“Your life has value, your life has purpose, your choices matter.”

Across Northern Ireland the need for mental health and well-being services has reached unprecedented heights. Within the education & youth sectors budget cuts will unfortunately see many young people be deprived of mental health & well- being education and resources.

Within the last 12 months we have delivered over 702 workshops to over 27,400 young people across the province on the following key areas:

  • Mental health & Well-being • Self-esteem

  • Digital footprint

  • Vaping, drugs & alcohol

By the end of each workshop it is our aim that each young person would leave equipped with the following:

  • The knowledge they need to identify

and navigate the issues that they face.

  • To have a tool kit that enables them to

    look after their mental health.

  • A clear pathway to accessing additional

    help where needed.

  • The support they need to achieve their

goals and live happy, healthy lives.

WILL YOU PARTNER WITH US TO REACH THIS GENERATION?

From Sept 2023 – Aug 2024 our aim as an organisation is to:

  • Deliver 600 workshops across primary, secondary, special educational needs schools as well as youth & sports groups, reaching over 27,000 young people face to face.

  • Provide mental health & well-being e-learning resources to primary and secondary schools as well as youth organisations reaching a projected 30,000 young people.

THE EVENT

From 5th-9th February we are hosting our annual fundraiser called “Break the Cycle”.
Our team will join your staff and pupils for a fun day of static cycling. Each school will have 5 bikes from 9am-3pm and will aim to cycle as far as possible as a team.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be going towards bridging the funding shortfall within education & youth sectors, fuelling and facilitating our mental health workshops to young people in need.
