FINISHING THE SCHOOL YEAR

Beth

At the beginning of the month, we enjoyed our Team Celebration Night. This is essentially an evening to show off all the gold within our interns and volunteers to their families and friends. God has entrusted us with such a strong, passionate, servant-hearted team, and although some are leaving us to move onto other things, I know that He will bring forth the right people for this next season of Made for More. He always does!

June also means we have reached our final weekly study with our interns Evie and Charlie. We are studying “Emotionally Healthy Spirituality” written by Pete Scazzero. This has been such an enriching study as each of us delve into what it looks like to progress as an emotionally healthy Christian. The conversations and discussion have been honest, challenging, and Godly. I am so thankful to journey alongside these brilliant interns before they finish at the end of June.

Please pray for them as they leave us, and for our impending interns as they prepare to join us! I am thankful for the Lord’s presence during all of this transition. Thank you!

This month has seen our wonderful interns finish their year with us at Made For More.

As we celebrated Evie, Patricia and Charlie at our team celebration evening in June, I reflected on how God has used their obedience and sacrifice to impact lives. Young people across Northern Ireland and beyond have experienced Jesus through these three wonderful people and I am so privileged to have seen it in action.

We will miss them. I will miss them! Please pray for our interns as they finish their year with us and look ahead to the future and pray for our new interns starting in August!! They mean so much to us and God has so much in store for them!

June has been a really special month, I have had the privilege of delivering four training sessions for parents and leaders working with young people across Northern Ireland.

The training was based around how to walk with their young people who are struggling with their mental health. One workshop focused on helping children who are going through SEAG. Getting to sit with parents and educating them around brain development and what is happening inside their child/young person was really informative. Our heart in educating is to try and let those who work with young people or parents/carers feel prepared and not scared of what is happening to them.

Understanding that their children/young people are doing the best with the tools they have really changed how the adults approached some of the issues. Although  many things happening our young people can seem scary the more educated we become in helping them journey through it with massively benefit them.

June was an exciting month - workshops, planning for events and planning for next year.

We had some amazing workshops this month, some really brilliant ones in Banbridge and Ballymena. A lot of fun from our side but some incredible feedback from the teachers and young people!

We would love prayer for Summer Madness (27th - 30th June) where we are launching our new collection of merchandise while getting to speak to hundreds of young people. Please pray for good weather, logistics, a positive reaction to merch and ultimately for good conversations with the young people!

There has been so much going on in June, from celebrating all God has done in our team to seeing our workshops impact participants in real time.

A highlight this month for me was the opportunity to work with the Dreamscheme Youth Council. We worked with young leaders to plan, practice and deliver a workshop to their peers. It was so helpful to hear from young people about issues they face and to facilitate a space where they could voice their feelings about how best to encourage those around them.

We also had our last team night of the year where we gathered for fellowship, share testimonies and pray for one another. I’m so encouraged to see the detail with which God works in our team.

Thank you for your continued prayer for our media team - our heart as a department is that we can utilise media to reach young people we may never see face to face. As we look ahead please continue to pray over resources and vision as we seek God’s will in the dynamic and fast paced world of digital media.

Thank you for your continued support in all that we do!
